The Rules of Golf

As laid down by the Royal and Ancient Golf of St. Andrews shall govern play on the links and the strict observance of the “Etiquette of Golf” is essential. Ballybunion adhere to the highest standards of etiquette and asks all members and visitors to show due consideration to fellow golfers.

Slow Play

Slow play is not enjoyable. We request players to give way if they are holding other groups and to be aware of their position on the course at all times and stay “behind the group in front not in front of the group behind”.

Links courses are fragile and Green Staff take every care in preparing the links for your enjoyment. Please help us maintain our courses to the highest standards by repairing pitch marks, replacing divots and raking bunkers properly.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones may not be used in the Club Bars or Restaurant, on Putting Greens or on the Courses. If you are using a mobile phone please use it discreetly and in a manner that shows proper consideration for others.
